Grandchildren...Home...Grandchildren....

Life is so rewarding...
Especially with grandchildren around...
Grandma and Kedric made Chocolate Chip Cookies...
Sawyer fell asleep (Standing up).
You snooze...
You Lose....

Kedric is such a beautiful little guy...
He has quite the personality.
He can tease his older brother till he blows up!

Shaye felt good enough to work on her necklaces...
Her sister helped her finish the orders she didn't get done before the surgery.
I taught her to keep a pillow over her incision just in case she got attacked by little munchkins.

The boys loved it on the front porch morning and evenings...
Grandpa Sawyer and Kedric.

These guys were so good all morning and through the afternoon....
Then they attacked Shaye and covered her with pillows....
They were so good around her....
Gentle and loving with her...
They would sit in the chair next to her...
They loved being with her...
They really missed her while she was in the hospital.

We left Jim and Shaye's Thursday instead of Friday...
That gave us a day or so to get our feet on the ground before...
Ben and Melissa left for Ohio...
They are helping Ann and Gale Wight move to Ohio...

The trip home was beautiful and vegetation varied strikingly.
the Mesa/Phoenix area is arid and hot...

Whether we are in Juniper, Florida or Arizona there are Cedar trees...
This is kind of scary to find at a rest area...

As we traveled elevation went up to 8000 feet at one point...
 Vegetation was heavier...
Then we dropped on to the Indian reservation...
You would think there would be better ground for our Native Americans

 This area is so stark...

Page AZ
 We found another favorite restaurant...
The murals inside were unbelievable
they are of Lake Powel...

We were on our way out of Page when Dad saw this bike and had to go back to get a picture.
 Lake Powel and the Dam
Water levels are very low...

Traveling in Utah we enjoyed the change of the season...

We stopped in Circleville to see my uncle George...
He married my mother's sister Mona Lou...
Mona Lou died several years ago...
He has married Debbie...
Uncle George looks 30 years younger...
He had his 90th birthday party while we were in Arizona...
How do you like that Elk Antler Lamp...?

Piute Reservoir...
The water levels are so low...

We went on to Richfield...
Another very young 90 year old man...
Uncle Bryant and Aunt Edna.
Uncle Bryant is my mother's brother...
Only living sibling left in his family.
It amazing the energy Uncle George and Bryant and Edna have...
They are always serving neighbors...
Friends...
Community.
That is how to spend your last days...
In the Service of our Lord...
In as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these...
Ye have done it unto me...

Getting home is always a nice feeling.
We love traveling and being with family.
We love it.
But there is no place like home....
Jack Frost has painted our yard...
And it is beautiful...

 I love this ash tree...
 The Virginia Creeper is magnificent...
 Last Rose of Summer.... (maybe)
I actually picked a Daisy to put with my rose...

Saturday Dani Olivia and Dylan came over and wondered if they could help me...
They gathered up all the statues etc from the yard...
 Wrapped benches...
 Dumped out pots...
 Wrapped bird houses...

There was a lot accomplished...
But they will help finish as the week progresses...

Jayden is such a great helper...
She really deep cleaned downstairs...
Then she helped me clean the living room and family room upstairs...
Lots of hands Saturday makes light work.
To tell the truth I wouldn't have been able to do it all.
Blessing in the form of Grandchildren....

Ben and Melissa left Sunday morning...
We took the kids to church..
No problems...
They are good kids.
Ross and his tough five year old lungs...

 No hands!  Good job Dylan

Ross' birthday is today Sunday...
He had a party at home Friday...
Saturday at Becky's...
Primary sang to him...
We had a party to day...Sunday.
Ross got the candy from Primary for his birthday...
We had taco soup that I prepared yesterday...
 Dani baked the cake...
Olivia Frosted it...
Dylan lit the candles...

This big guy blew out the candles...
Dani helped by cutting and serving  the cake
Ross eating cake...
Olivia...
Dylan...
Grandpa got in on the action as well...

As we were leaving Page Thursday evening...

“It is . . . important that we be loving and kind to members of our own faith,
regardless of their level of commitment or activity.
The Savior has made it clear that we are not to judge each other (see Luke 6:37).
This is especially true of members of our own families.
Our obligation is to love and teach and never give up.
The Lord has made salvation ‘free for all men’
but has ‘commanded his people that they should persuade all men to repentance’ (2 Nephi 26:27).
