CHRISTMAS...2012

Pumpkin Rolls...
I know it is crazy...
I wasn't going to make them...
THEN...
Dani said she would do it.
I knew she couldn't do it alone...
SO
Jayden came to the rescue...
Still there was a lot for me to do...
I think it was a project that...
Well...
I had the girls and that made it all worth while.

Jayden making the filling, Dani making the cakes...
I rolled them and wrapped them...
The first two of 22...Ready to be wrapped
There was flour and powder sugar everywhere...
BUT it did clean up nicely...

Then we delivered them...

It was icy cold with a strong wind blowing snow...
But these girls delivered all of them except for the two neighbors who were not home.
It is always so beautiful with the sun and blowing snow...
BUT...
 IT IS JUST SO COLD...

We did the rolls Christmas Eve...
Then in the evening...
Jayden and Dani's families came for dinner and games...

I love it when Melissa is here, she brings all her games...
Dylan found a quiet place to use my Ipod.

Christmas 2012..
What a Celestial Day.
Being in Grandma Rosalie's home is like the Celestial Kingdom...
I got to shower her and get her ready for the day...
Stan and I were just about ready to have her open her gifts...
When,,,
Out on the porch there arose such a clatter....
Wayne and Karen's daughter Katie and her children came to see Great Grandma...
Of course they saw that it was about 11 in the morning and there were still gifts under the tree.
That can't be....
So these little elves helped her unwrap them...
She was so cute and animated....
What a blessing to have this little family come...
It wouldn't have been near as much fun with Stan and I there...

 She really likes her naps...
Becky and Larry's family also came and sang carols with Grandma.
Oh how she loves to sing...
She sings all the time...
Most of the time it is...
"Wake up and do something more then dream of your mansions above'
She also sings Families can be together forever a lot.
We had dinner and she loved the baked sweet potato.
We also had pumpkin roll and ice cream....
How cute and animated she was at that treat.

The Christmas card she got from Craig and Suzie Campbell was unique...

Stan and I had a great laugh over this one...

I think Kayleen stitched this for Grandma...
I have always loved it...
Stan's mom is such an angel...
I am so grateful for her and love her so much...
 To His Mother
Mother-in-law! They say and yet
Somhow I simply can't forget
'Twas you who watched his baby wasys
Who taught him his first hymn of praise.
Who smiled on him with loving pride
When he first todled by you side
"Mother-in-law but oh twas you
Who taught him to be kind and true
when He was tired, almost asleep.
Twas to your arms he used to creep.
And when he brused his tiny knee,
Twas you who kissed it tenderly.
Mother-in-law they say and yet
somehow I never shall forget
How very much I owe
to you who taught him how to grow
You trained your son to look above
You made of him the man I love,
And so I think of that today
Ah! Then with thankful heart I'll say
Our Mother...

Down her hall are family pictures...
Stan calls it her hall of fame....

She loves to have the scriptures read to her...
The day went all to quickly and it was time to tuck her into bed.
Oh how I love this woman.

 Christmas morning entering Cache valley/Logan...
 Wellsville range

View of the valley...Covered with a blanket of fog...
 Wellsville range
 Headed down into the valley...
The Sanford and Rosalie Campbell Home....

"There is no fog so dense,

no night so dark,

no gale so strong,

no mariner so lost

but what the lighthouse of the Lord

can rescue.

It beckons through the storms of life.

It calls, 'This way to safety.

This way to home.'

It sends forth signals of light easily seen

and never failing.

If followed,

those signals will guide you back to your heavenly home."

Whirlwind of a week...

It is hard to put on paper events that are so perfect.

Friday December 17....
We met Becky and Sydney in Brigham...
Then headed to the airport...
We started our trek to Alabama.

Stan conquered  his fear of flying...
More or less.
He was  a trouper....

Syd and Becky were wonderful traveling companions...

This is how Stan was a lot of the time...
In Nashville where we landed we met up with Esther and Austin who flew in from Denver CO.
We rented a car and drove to Harvest/Huntsville AL

 Saturday morning...
Isaiah and Breonna preparing for the temple sealing.

Andrew cantching a few Z's before the temple...
Chad's mom Carolyn

 Andrew Isaiah and Carolyn

Breonna just got beads in her hair...
Proud mom Sarah...

CeAnna Grandpa Grandma Syd Breonna and Isaiah

 CeAnna with GG Campbell

 Sarah with her dad...

Chad not so 'little' Ben and Stan...

 Birmingham temple...

Two little children with another wedding party...
They are eating pansy petals.

Two little Angels...
 Just about time...

 Ben...
 Andrew...

The time in the sealing room went all to quickly...
We were all wishing the sealer would go slower.
BUT...
Isaiah was  really good and it was wearing thin...
Wise sealer.
 A beautiful eternal family...

Andrew, Sarah, Chad CeAna Ben
Breonna and Isaiah...
Our new little eternal children...

Same picture but GG Caps in the left and GG Campbell on the Right.
Here we have Becky and Syd on the left and Esther and Austin on the right....

 One last family shot...
Ben Andrew Sarah Isaiah Ceanna and Breonna...
Beautiful aren't they?

DINNER
 Everyone looks very intent...
Very hungry and to many choices....
Cracker Barrel....

Sunday after church we went to see the land where the NEW
Capps home will hopefully be in one year...
With the extra kids things are really cramped in the house they have now...

 It is beautiful...
With horse ranches that border them...
CeAnna is certainly happy for that....
They even have a little pond...

We had dinner at Capps...
Yummy roast beef smoked by our one an only Ben Capps...
I think he did that Friday....

THEN....
Time for games...

Monday morning VERY early....
It was time to head back home...
Esther and Austin had an hour wait after we left...
Pretty good planning...

 Esther Austin Sydney and Becky

While we were in Alabama it was raining a lot...
At home...

It was beautiful...
A little treacherous on the roads dodging stopped trucks.

Tuesday I went to see Doctor Clegg about my back...
This is a doctor that has quite a reputation for healing backs...
Surgery is his last resort...
He told me that doing the Pilates I started last week is perfect...
Dr. Garg told me to lay low...
He then took me back to Therapy where I had my knee healed...
I have Ryan once again...
YES!
He did everything just perfect...
I walked out of there a new person.

Doctor Clegg did prescribe steroids...
I didn't dare take them before the temple...
So I started Friday...
The pain in my back is gone...
BUT....
I feel like I am on a Caffeine  over dose.
Three more days!

The Lord was with us at the temple.
Wonderful time...
I love it there....

Friday....
Raft River Elementary Christmas Program...

 Kindergarden is a huge class...
The have divided it...
They don't look to happy...
BUT....
They sang 'I want a hippopotamus for Christmas'
To cute...
Reigan is three from the left...

Dylan is the tallest in his class
So he was right in the middle...
He was so cute trying to sing and do the hand gestures as well.

Sierra is the talest in her class.  She is in the back Blue shirt...
Olivia is in Sierra's class, she is one of the shortest...
 The whole Grade school....
Raft River Elementary is really growing...

I did some visiting while in Malta...
No matter what that always makes me feel better...
Malta not only has sidewalks now but they have Christmas decorations on the new light posts...

Saturday we went to the grave side service for Sarah Harper...
there was a regular service for her in Provo where she died...
 Pallbearers...
Good by Sarah...

After I had Mike and things were a little crazy in my life...
Emotionally, physically and spiritually...
This great woman who just married Rawlins Harper, second wife...
Came up to me and said...
We are Kindred Spirits...
From there she nourished me...
She was an angel sent from above...
I wouldn't be who I am today without her...
I love my scriptures so much...
Because of what she taught...
She was a teacher and Missionary....
A grandson sang this song....

Help Me Teach with Inspiration

1. Help me teach with inspiration;
Grant this blessing, Lord, I pray.
Help me lift a soul's ambition
To a higher, nobler way.
2. Help me reach a friend in darkness;
Help me guide him thru the night.
Help me show thy path to glory
By the Spirit's holy light.
3. Fill my mind with understanding;
Tune my voice to echo thine.
Touch my hand with gentle friendship;
Warm my heart with love divine.
4. Help me find thy lambs who wander;
Help me bring them to thy keep.
Teach me, Lord, to be a shepherd;
Father, help me feed thy sheep.

Merry Christmas...
The gift of love for all His children...
That is all He Asks...
