Monday afternoon the President came into the office and said--
'Campbell's can I see you in the office.'

A couple weeks ago he did visit with us about being transferred and how we felt about it so we were kind of expecting this.
He said that he feels we need to move to Deland and finish our mission there as a support to the two wards up there.
When Elder Bednar was here he pronounced an apostolic blessing upon that stake (Zone) and I guess it was pretty powerful.
President said because of that he was inspired to move us up there.
NOW he said that he could use 10 couples minimum out here and Salt Lake says we can't have them.
The reason is senior couples are deciding not to go on missions for one reason or another.
All good reasons --
But from our experience we know that a lot of those reasons will solve themselves if they have the faith to answer the call.

HAD TO GET THEIR FEET WET BEFORE THE LORD PARTED THE SEA.
That is the just of why we are transferring....
The couples that are here are being spread very thin.
So this week has been filled with packing and training Elder and Sister James to do our jobs along with all the massive amounts of work they are already doing.
Once again we have to have faith that they can either carry such a HUGE load or we will be able to get a local senior couple who are willing to come into the office several days a week to do this work.
It is in the Lords hands and we will just do as HE says.
The Packing caused us great stress....
We haven't moved since 1974
and that was from downstairs to upstairs.
We have only moved all our things twice in March and April of 1969.
We have 'helped' our children move many times and have seen it done.
We have brought our trucks to help...
Beth working for a moving company procured a truck for a couple moves as well as boxes and equipment.
We have never physically been the ones in charge.
Thursday before the President left the office he did say he would be here with the assistants at 8:00 Monday morning to load the UHAUL truck we are renting.
That will go fast since we have very little furniture and there are many hands.
Sunday morning the three West side Elders said they were coming at 8:00 as well.
The missionaries in Deland are also going to help us unload...
it is their Preparation day and are willing to give up some play time to help us out.
It took us the first part of the week to wrap our brains around how to do this.
Once I got in the zone things started to move.
Stan is very efficient when given direction and he has been a wonderful help and support.

Michelle Cameron is the owner and a member of the church.
She is delightful.

Front room with sliding glass doors ( about as good as the ones in our Idaho home)
This leads out to our patio.

Kitchen. We will need to purchase a microwave.
It is small and closed in but functional.
Dinning area is off to the side.
There is the bathroom in the hall with a shower and two bedrooms
One to the left and one at the end of the hall.
The washer and dryer are in the hall with a pantry and closet
The bedrooms have large closets but are both small.
Closet and 1/2 bathroom in the master bedroom
Our patio on the outside.
All the patios are open and people have all their stuff on them and no one steals anything.
I think I really like this area for that reason alone.
Getting out of the Orlando Metro area is really going to be refreshing.
There are big trees that offer shade for parking..
and we don't have to try to find a parking place there are plenty.
No lake - ducks - everglades - Disney...
BUT the school behind the complex has livestock for the FFA.
We will need to go look...
As we were leaving Elder Back and Moultrie called to us...
their apartment is just a couple buildings down from ours.
It was lunch time and they hadn't had lunch so...
Of course we went out to lunch.
We ended up in Historical Down Town Deland...
There were so many places we could have chosen from..
But they had heard that ' Bill and Franks Brickhouse Grill' was tasty.
The Brickhouse...is tasty and priced right.
There are murals on alot of the buildings...
This allegator and friends was carved with a chain saw and probably chisels.
Deland is a rural/country area.
It is refreshing.
As we get to know the area we will introduce you to some of the highlights.
On the way home we went through a the worst storm we have driven in down here.
I am sure there have been worse...
BUT
It was so bad it slowed the traffic to a 20 miles an hour and stopped at times.
The clouds were black and kind of green...
These don't even begin to show how ominous they were.
Stan's comment before we turned on to I-4 was maybe we should go around it...
But it was massive so we went straight into it.
But as we drove it got worse each second that passed.
This is a clear picture just alot of rain...
We were glad that we were only in it about 20 minutes...
Even going slowly we were heading one way and it was going the opposite.
Once we got home we saw on the news the storm we went through.
Glad to be home to our mess.

Then we went and got the UHAUL so it will be here on the job with the missionaries come...
The big problem is finding a spot to park it so we can load it in the morning.
The car Stan is in front of is where we really need it, but that car hardly ever moves and when it does it is just for short periods of time.
The Powers invited us to Sunday dinner...
That was so pleasant...
With that invitation and eating in Deland Saturday...
We were able to pack everything except cereal and a few paper bowels and glasses.
A great couple we will really miss them.

I ran and got my shoe, Stan tried to hit it but missed...
it was father's day and his phone rang so he left it to me.
I grabbed the spray and sprayed around where it dropped.
I chased it with the spray...
Success...
We don't have many of these guys...
so when we see them...

Elder Hager's brother was leaving just a few days before Elder Hager got home...
So the President approved his brother coming to Florida...
They spent 10 days as missionary companions.

As we have proceeded to go forward with our new assignment...
We talked to other senior couples who have been proselyting missionaries...
The Assistants were a huge help...
We are on our knees praying for guidance and direction...
We want to make the last few months of our mission productive and fruitful.
We have always just wanted to be instruments in the Lords hands.
HE IS IN CONTROL.
