Monday we helped a little bit to move David Megan and Lydia Sainz.

Megan is Mickey's friend.

Now she will be in Utah with her family...

Our loss your gain (those in the Utah area anyway).

Then we moved the new vans from the dealership on Osceola to UHAUL on Orange Blossom Trail where the new hitches were put on them for the bike racks.

Elder Campbell is in the white one and Elder Valgardson in the silver one.

Tuesday Elder Mutiliki and Valasco lost their keys.

(They did find them later on in the week)

So I went with Elder Campbell to Velencia (Spanish)

They were with Elder Montgomery and Ho Ching when the keys were lost.

We dropped off a bike rack at sister Durr and Christensen's

We just left it under their stairs because they were working.

The area we were traveling in was a poorer area.

My heart broke when I saw a man moving his wheel chair forward with one leg.

I assume the wheels were to hot to push.

I saw two older women carrying groceries in the hot sun.

I want to help them all.

On the way home we picked up one of the vans, the silver one.

Elder Fuluvaka and Newsome were coming in to exchange vans.

Elder Campbell dots all the i's and crosses all the t' when he trades new for old.

We have had to many problems when it was done to hastily.

Wednesday we went to District Meeting.

I am so impressed with this district.

The assistants joined us this time and taught us about faith.

WOW.

They are in credible.

It is such a blessing to us to be able to be a part of what they are doing.

Thursday Elder Rial and Iotua came for their new van.

Elder Iotua is the Elder from the Gilbert Islands.

It is a blessing to be in his presence.

They are on exchanges, Elder Lewis is his trainer.

Friday afternoon we went to Sumterville....
Elder Potter and Colledge needed the license plate for their car.

Most of the Missionaries LOVE it....

It is steeped in Southern Baptist tradition.

The people love the missionaries...

they would give their lives for them...

But listen to the gospel...?

"No thank you I am a Baptist"....

Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful People.
The missionaries over time are starting to soften them up letting them know what they have is good
BUT..
Would you like to have more?
They are starting to listen.

This shop and home belongs to two ladies now to old to run their antique shop.

So their tools and left overs are in this shed and the missionaries are renting the home.

The far end is a wonderful sun porch with windows.

it is amazing inside.

I actually covet this little home in Sumterville...

Maybe we could get a transfer and gently convince the missionaries they don't like this little home.

There are a lot of mom and pop restaurants in the off road areas of Florida

Catfish Johnnies support our troups...

A great reason to go in and enjoy their cuisine.

It had a lot of personality and flavor.

We just love these little places...

Feeding the missionaries makes it even more fun.

After we ate Elder Potter and Colledge took us on a tour of their branch.

This little white cinder block building is the exact replica of the Okeechobee building

EXCEPT it has two halls and Okeechobee has one.

AND...

There is a local sister who did murals on the Primary walls.

These quilt squares were made by the Primary children.

We just wanted to stay in Sumterville...

But unless the Lord needs us there...
we waved a fond farewell.

Saturday we went to the temple early then to two baptisms.

This is Tylon 's baptism.

The East Elders are the ones who taught him ( Elder Whitworth and Stock--Elder Jensen came back to be apart of it)

Xavier Netane baptized him. Xavier is headed to California for his Mission.

this was his preliminary on the Plan of Salvation.

Maybe we can do this at a Family Reunion...

It was very good.

Tylon is from Tonga and so the Polynesian community in our ward really came together to support him 100 percent.

They are a wonderful people and so talented and have extremely strong faith.

As soon as that was over we greeted people and left for the Buena Vista Singles Ward.

Stephanie was praying for a change in her life.

When Elder Rydalch and Moore were out tracting they decided to go over to the bus stop before they came into the office. Stephanie was there waiting. She wanted to be baptized right then.

BUT...

They taught her and she did what she needed to do to be worthy for baptism.

She bore a beautiful testimony.

She is from the Philippines.

When we were done with baptisms I took Stan to Perkins...

He loves the breakfasts there and they serve breakfasts 24 hours a day.

Xavier Netane spoke in Sacrament meeting and the Polynesians can really put on a do.

We will really miss the Polynesian culture when we leave our mission.

The transport to move these seven cars was supposed to come Thursday.
But he didn't show till after church Sunday.

This is the truck he loaded them onto.
From here he was going to Tampa for mission cars there.
We had other things to do so we got him the keys paperwork etc. and left him to load up and leave.
I would have liked to see them all loaded but...

A taste of Florida

Yes this is a little high--Parking lot temp.

BUT temperatures have been in the high 90's Heat index 103

We have been getting our seasonal afternoon cloud bursts.
Some areas have gotten some damage to homes etc because of high winds and hail.
Sunday evening we a home visit and got caught in a nasty storm on the way home.

This is a river down the center of the road.

We found these little cantaloupe type fruit at Sam's
they are called 'lemon drops'

I quite like them. They have a melon flavor with a tangy twist.

All five of the baby ducks from last year...
Two drakes...
three hens...
and about five chicks average between them.
