44 years and just beginning...

We have been married 44 years...

What a wonderful place to experience the 44th year.

We went to DeLeon Springs today.

The fountain of youth.

There is a lot said there about Ponce DeLeon who 'discovered' and named Florida looking for the Fountain of Youth.  

This pool is fed by an underground spring.

It is hard to see the diagram because of the glare on the poster.

The spring that feeds the pool is thirty feet down.

It is rather shallow all around the edges.

The reason the pool above was empty--

There was thunder and lightening and everyone was cleared.

So we went for a walk.

These guys literally ate us alive. They don't spray here it would upset the natural habitat.

No he isn't talking on the phone...he is swatting a beasty.

We didn't see any signs for these, it could of been on a path we didn't take.

But they are the big pine trees that look like a sick Ponderosa.

These are trees and bushes covered completely by the vine that grows everywhere.

They cover full grown huge trees and they look like they are under a blanket.

Thunder and lightening alert was let up.

We walked across the bridge that separates the pool and the waterfall outlet.

The old sugar Mill.  It is now a pancake house and gift shop.

We missed the river boat and paddle boats and canoe.

Gives us a reason to go back.

This live oak is in the parking lot covered with the resurrection fern.

We went for a drive after we visited the springs.

We see these covered fields.  They are like greenhouses but over fields and sprinklers.  

We can't really tell what is growing under them, but there are a lot of them.

Lake Dias was a beautiful lake.

This is very touching

Lake Monroe and a very beautiful Sand Crane.  I love these birds.

We went through quite a storm!

In Sanford at the Walmart they protected this living oak and built the parking lot and building around it.

It is down quit deep from the parking lot level.

I found these beautiful roses, a dozing of them at the Publix grocery store.

I don't have a vase.

Happy Anniversary...

A lady that we are teaching sent this to us with an e-card.

She is so amazing.

The vows made in the temple of the Lord means...
