Where is normal?

Normal....
Someone said that is a cycle on your washing machine...

I haven't been able to find a 'routine' since we got home.
I keep thinking...
I need more self discipline.

I don't know...

Monday was...
LABOR DAY!

When our children were young we labored on labor day.
they always complained...
of course...
BUT...
We had a lot of fruit to bottle and many hands made light work.

Well Jayden was my labor day buster this last week.
She works hard and in a few hours accomplished...
With Stan...
things that would take me FOREVER!

Jayden is my very beautiful work horse...
We dug the potatoes at the bottom of the garden and then hauled that soil up and leveled out this flower bed.
There used to be an apple tree there and the snow in the summer ground cover around it...
Jayden and Sierra hauled in soil earlier in the summer but it settled.
She and Stan would fill the wheel barrow full of soil...
Wheel it up through the garden, over the steep embankment accross the drive way and up the yard hill.
They are tough dudes!
I planted grass patch on it, you can see it finished next to Jayden's picture.
She hauled a wheel barrow of Manure up as well and we put it in and around the five plants we planted.
The pavers that used to go past the apple tree are now up by  where I used to have a pond...
By the old tree trunk.
She did that while I did some weeding.

I was so worn out from this day, I took a nap.

Tuesday...
I went to Twin and spent two hours in the temple...
I finished memorizing the temple dialog.
I actually did it all Thursday...
YES!
I met up with Mike and Michell afterward at Cafe Rio.
I forgot to take a picture!
We visited for two hours...
It was a wonderful time for sure.

Mike and Michell...

Wednesday....
I followed Stan in the truck all the way to American Falls...
going 60 miles an hour...

This is the reservoir.

It is very low this year...
I am on the dam right now...

Here we are traveling back and looking up at the dam...
No water going through...

Friday Stan went to town by himself...
I should NEVER send him by himself...
He always gets into trouble...
He traded our Toyota Rave...
For this...
A brand new Toyota Camry...
He didn't tell me...
When Becky and Larry and family came Saturday...
Becky came up and asked me what that new car was doing in the garage and were was our Rav?

If I didn't love the guy so much.....

Sunday...
We went to Boise for church...
Oliver spoke in church in preparation for his mission.
He did a wonderful job...
He was assigned the topic of...
OBEDIENCE!

This was a beautiful double rainbow we saw on our way to Boise...

The church reminded me of some that we went to in Florida...
Only this one was a lot bigger...
Beth and I on the front...
Back is Ben Stan, Stan's cousins Lindy Yvette and Becky...
It was so fun to have Stan's cousins show up as well.
Oliver had his casual clothes on and put his suit back on for our picture....
what a man!
 This is the man...
We will miss him but know what he is doing...
He will be a great missionary.
Larry and Syd, Dani Melissa and Olivia and Ben
 Becky....
 skinny minny Adrienne...
 Now the man is comfortable.
 Trevor...
Oliver caught in a quiet moment...
Won't be many of these for the next two years.
This truck drove by and into the garage across the street while we were outside visiting...
It attracted all the guys... and some gals...
Trevor is making sure Eddie and Ross are safe while exploring the tree.
67 year old Grandpa on a Pogo stick!

On the way home we met up with Ben's family at the Malad River Gorge...
The guys and the Jumpier salute on the walking bridge that spans the gorge.
Ross Ben and Dylan
 Impressive little river...

Water falls on one side of the bridge.
signs say to keep your kids under control...
I told Ben not to go over the fence...
But then when did he ever do what he was told.
Pull ups at the visitors pavilion.

The kids got into the act as well...

To you who are parents,
 I say,
 show love to your children.
You know you love them,
but make certain they know it as well.
They are so precious.
Let them Know
Pres Monson
