The missionaries are having a difficult time teaching her because she is suffering from dementia.
Our conclusion at the end of the evening...
as we walked her home is,,,
that we will visit this wonderful German lady stuck in the days of WWll...
and let her remember and talk of all the horrors and fun of days past.

I did some very needed cleaning...
We never have time to clean cook or anything domestic.
We actually had more time for domestic affairs in the office then we do here.
We never know where we will be.
We have appointments
and then we try to find others and we visit with some,
and we have dinner with members,
and missionaries
and yes I get to cook when it is for the missionaries.
We love those guys.

HURRICANE IRENE
We are grateful that Irene left us with some breezes and a few showers.
We have prayed for and hope the best for those she had her sights on.
We get notices on our door knob now and then...
This is what came before we really knew what Irene would do.
There are a lot of good God loving family people in Deland.
Saturday drive on a round about way to Publix.
Lake Beresford -- part of the St John's river.
St John's river..Ed Stone Park
Water plants I pay so much for grow wild here.
Irene did leave us with some beautiful skies.
"No pain that we suffer, not trial that we experience is wasted...
All that we suffer and all that we endure,
especially when we endure it patiently,
builds up our characters,
purifies our hearts,
expands our souls,
and makes us more tender and charitable...
It is through sorrow and suffering,
toil and tribulation,
that we gain the education that we come here to acquire."
(Elder Orson F. Whitney)
