Celebrate Life...

The Sanford's from Oakley Idaho arrived Friday.

Kent and Judy Sanford are the couple taking the William's place in Okeechobee.  

They are living in their fifth wheel for a year!

They are brave.

They did this in Georgia for 1 1/2 years...

so maybe it won't be to bad in Okeechobee.

They stayed only long enough to have an interview with the President...

and then off to get set up and on with their mission.

 They were here to set apart a new Stake President.

The man he set apart was President Holladay...

President Hall's first counselor.

 He is from Buenos Aires Argnetina
He takes English tudor lessons three times a week...
twice on Skype and a live lesson.
He spoke for several hours both days...
For a guy just learning the language he was astounding.
What a teacher. (if you want to know more google him)

I was able to set the formulas on the spreadsheet...

all by myself.... 

Each month the formulas have to be change to accommodate the new
Baptism and Confirmation figures.

As the missionaries say....

SWEET!

 Zone Conference is Quarterly!

That is Elder Holladay the new Orlando Stake President.

We won't have another one till February!!

Monday when we had the two Northern Zone Conferences together at the Par Chapel.

We had 40 cars to check...

That was huge.

Stan had his hands full...

I judged the cars and put the prizes in their cars.

(We usually award them in the meeting but there was no time for that because of Elder Zivic)

We purchased Arby's certificates from our grandson Braden.

We used these as prizes for the cleanest cars.

 I was so relieved...

That the buildings I scheduled were open and ready for us...

That the missionaries got the tables set up...

AND...

 when the people I asked to feed 150 missionaries the first day and...

60  missionaries the second day..

came through with flying colors.

 This is the Bryants...

They are late 70's...

They are building inspectors in one of our South Zones.

It is a big job and they are always so happy to do it.

  Sister Hall took pictures the first day of the tables that were beautiful.

She will email me the pictures and I will place them here when she does.

We took Zone pictures and there is the picture of our Hunters Creek Zone.

 

It is November...

And it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas?

NOT!

Natures colors are vibrant and astonishing..

There are Santa's on the corner...

There is Christmas music playing in the stores...

Christmas decorations are everywhere...

But I can't wrap my head around the fact that it is...

It was a 'Sweet Deal' but way to big for him.

Now he has a 'Sweet' fit...

minus the cuffs.  

While I was cleaning sewing mending accounting organizing on Saturday...

Elder Campbell took Elder Beckstead his presents...

it was his birthday.

Then he rounded up four bikes not being used and he donated them to Bike Works...

a local bike shop that works well with us.

They will repair them and donate them back to those who need a bike.

Yes we went to the temple first...

The temple is closed for two weeks for cleaning.

That is rare in deed for this workaholic.

After being on opposite ends of the mission...

Two great missionaries come together for a moment.

The office has been deemed the 'Black Hole'

It sucks in the office elders and won't let them go.

Elder Jensen, Elder Lewis' new companion...

Elder Jensen and Lewis are a match made in Heaven.

They will make things happen in Hunter's Creek.

It has been a Dry Hole for far to long.

 Elder Gregson in the middle has been here two transfers.

He is now the District Leader, Senior Companion AND Trainer.

Elder Swift on the right was his trainer and now he is moving on.

Elder Spillsbury on the left is the new Missionary Elder Gregson is training.

They are the Spanish Elders in the South Chase Ward..

They meet in the Hunter's Creek building before us.

 Saturday. Stan went with a Van full of 10 Elders  to Kissimmee.

They had a Homeless outreach program put on by the community every year

Blood testing, Hair Cuts, Legal Counsel, Picture ID, Blood donation, Food Games for the kids etc..

30-40 missionaries all total, supervised, kids food some moving around getting and taking a survey and helping in general.

He left when I did for the temple about 6:30 am.

I wish he would use a camera because this would have been very blog worthy.

He does so much.

We shuffled cars again and bikes

Elder Campbell just locked his keys in the car AGAIN!

He lives in Cocoa a couple hour trip.

I think he will have to get a locksmith OR.......

wait till Tuesday when we have Zone Conference Down there!!!!
Sister Allred lost there keys....
not the first for her.
She is always losing something...
we must be related.

We got a call from a mom in Layton late Friday afternoon.
Her daughter came to Florida a few weeks back with a friend.
Her friend wasn't really a friend and is into a lot of the wrong things.
The apartment they are staying in..
has a real live Mormon hater...
A guy roommate who is LDS BUT doesn't want anyone to know.
They wanted her to go out with them on Halloween and it turned in to a drunken mess.
She found a way back to the apartment.
She has been sick all this week.
So Rebecca (22) was feeling so a lone and despair set in.
Her mom told us she had requested a blessing.
I used my referral map and found she was in our ward.
After work we picked up the Hunter's Creek West Elders and went to find her.
She will be okay now. Elder Fullmer anointed the blessing Elder Wood pronounced a powerful blessing on her.
We called the Buena Vista sisters who are also over that area but the Singles ward.
They were going over to see Rebecca the next day.
Rebecca said she would like to work with the Sister missionaries and help them where she could.
With the sisters at her side and a singles ward she will be set.

Rain at last...

It rained for about three days.

BUT central Florida is still a red burn Zone.

 Water running down the parking lot.

I felt like this was a lot colder because of the wind chill.

I am glad I have some warmer clothes.

The bushes and trees are alive with color....

 We don't have a lot of autumn colors..

but there is a lot of color.

(Every three months the people who do landscaping replant annuals. 

The temple now has petunias!)

Family is one thing we don't see much here in Florida.

So when Tim showed up...

That put the WOW in our week.

Thursday night before he went back to Mary and kids in Utah on Friday morning.

Monday night we had dinner with him at Bone Fish Grill...

We were so excited to have him and visit with him we didn't get pictures....

It was so good to have him.

Stan made the comment that it was like out of context and not real.

Amen to that.

Delsie Teeter, from Malta, who I went visiting teaching to for seven years, is writing to us while on our mission.

She sends me articles from the paper.

What a treat it was to get this Monday in the mail.

He does so much and never has a camera with him to document.

He went to Waterford lakes and took a retired car and replaced it with Sister Gervais and Perriera car that needed repairs.

He took old bikes to Elder Conant to use in building new ones.

He took a repaired bike to Elder Machado.

Moved furniture from the living quarters of a man who died.

Stan was so sensitive.  

This mans daughter called and told Elder James she had her fathers furniture and would like to donate it to the missionaries.

They went to get it and Elder Campbell...

Was taken back...

In this living space was all this mans posessions.

It took him back to when we were cleaning out Ruth and Nick's home.

Here was the daughter...
alone...
taking care of her father's things.

Stan took a moment with her to make sure she was okay.

Elder Campbell goes to Waterford Lakes with Elder Gregson and Swift on Wednesdays to teach.

He went Wednesday and ended up in a Pentecostal meeting with a woman priest.

They had a band and were really singing praises to the Lord.

(I would have like to have seen that)

Oh yes...

he did sell that car finally and has six more if anyone is interested.

As a girl the morning mists were a part of walking to the bus every morning while I lived in Belleview.

I had to feed the masses and I had the time....
So I made Taco Soup...

I owed Elder Rydalch a birthday dinner and he was going to Stuart Tuesday Transfer

We had stake conference this weekend...
My wish is that all of my friends and family could have been taught by President Pratt.
What a wonderful conference we have had.

 No rain since Tropical Depression 16....

 But the skies are unbelievable
