It has been some time since I posted pictures.
Funny how that gets away from us...
Especially when life is happening all around us.
The weather was beautiful and open till the first of December...
The geranium on the front porch didn't freeze till mid November.
THEN...
ALL OF A SUDDEN...
IT WAS BELOW 0 DEGREES...
Now it is very cold
I haven't taken many pictures...
We have had some snow...
Can I just say for the record....
I HATE WINTER.
(My perspective of course...Stan loves it!)
Ross frequents our home often...
He checks on Grandma and Grandpa...
Mostly Grandpa.
They are tight.
This day out of the clear blue sky he asked...
Looking up and around him and spreading out his arms...
'How do your walls stand up?'
So grandpa sat down with him...
Ross stuck with him for about an hour...
Then...
He was gone.
Perspective...
Halloween was a fun time...

Her youngest were the age of our middle family.
We were both watching the Veterans day program
(Our perspective on life runs pretty close)
Saturday November 9
Angie Jayden and I went to town for our birthdays...
so much fun!
During all the heckticness of November my freezer died while Stan was on a road trip.
OF COURSE.
I went to Smithfield to Darrel's appliance and got another freezer, which they delivered.
Outside Darrells was this tub,
I loved the idea...

November 19-20 2013
Met Andrew on his way to the MTC and Boise Idaho Mission...
At the Salt Lake International Airport.
He picked up a stray.
Angie from Brazil didn't speak English.
She flew into the Atlanta Georgia airport from Brazil...
She saw Andrew...
She knew he was a missionary and hung on for dear life.
We stayed with her till she was on her shuttle to Provo.
(Angie's perspective was foreign. But she was clear in how to get where she was going...
Andrew was an answer to her prayers.)
Andrew was an answer to her prayers.)
We had lunch with Andrew and Mary at Chili's
Then we went to the Jordan Temple.
Another temple another family member...
He is such an outstanding young man.
He is on his feet and running.
He won't have any adjustment time at all.
He stayed over night at Mary's...
Sarah, Andrew's mom loves Creamies and can't find them in Alabama...
Gabby is climbing the walls
The next morning on the way to the MTC we stopped at IHOP
For Breakfast/ Brunch...
They give new missionaries heading to the MTC a free breakfast!
Up to this point Andrew has been cool as a cucumber.
But...
See that hand...
We are almost to the MTC...
He is thumping his fingers and singing...
Excitement probably more then anxiety.
Perspective...
Perspective...
He got out grabbed his suitcase, while Grandpa and I meet his host who is going to Russia.
BUT he is from Meridian ID...
Just where Andrew is going!
He shook Andrew's hand and told him he was going to the greatest mission in the world.
That is it.
See you in two years Andrew...
Since we were in Provo...
We took a tour through Cedar Fort on our way home...
We love our kids and miss them very much...
Okay...
So we have Ross again...
He walked in our front door smiling big like this...
He didn't say anything...
Just smiled...
How could we miss the hole in his mouth...
Then he left...
Just that quick.
(Big event for Ross..His perspective)
November 23-25
Saturday through Monday...
Another time and temple...
We went to the Boise Temple with Braden...

Trevor dad to above said children.
He is a father...bread winner...husband and student.
What a blessing he is to the Rice Family.
Braden...
Prospective missionary...
Going to the Argentina Mendoza Mission...
A blessing to the Rice family...
Ollie...
Not present at this dinner.
BUT...
He is certainly a blessing to his family as well.
Village at Meridian...
Braden worked here and his perspective of the lights fountains buildings etc added to the awesomeness of all we were looking at.

November 27-30
Wednesday-Saturday
We had about seven families represented.
We count "Joie" as representing the Weaver Family...
We also know they are probably there when we meet as a family...
The family rents a home in Moab every other year.
we had about 35 people there this year.
Stan and I brought the meat...
BUT
They needed something to go with the meat...
Plus...
Breakfasts and lunches...

First item on the agenda is FOOD!

It really shows them and their personalities.

Perspective...

Sawyer with snow. In Phoenix they don't see that at all...
Love to know his perspective

Proof that I made it too! I didn't go any closer though cause falling off a cliff is not my idea of a good time. Oh, you think I'm dramatic do you? Well, then maybe I should tell you my brother in law Ben Campbell saved an Asian tourist who fell and was sliding off said cliff, inches away from death while his family screamed in horror, now who's dramatic! —

Funny story...
But another look at Perspective....
“If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden
Tuesday and Wednesday
December 3-4
Mary picked Braden up at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
(Very late because of lots of snow)
Mary Joie and Gabby dropped him off at the MTC in Prove...
Gabby's perspective of this event is in her dreams...
She was asleep in the car.

We dropped Andrew off at the MTC a couple of weeks earlier.
His Mission is Boise Idaho.
The day Andrew flew into Boise was the day Braden flew out for the MTC.
They were able to see each other for a few moments as they crossed paths at the Boise Airport.
Both going on missions...
BUT...
the next two years is going to give each young man a different
PERSPECTIVE...
On life, the gospel and their commitment to the Lord.
