The hills are alive with wild flowers this spring...
AND...
My grandchildren have kept me stocked...
They are so thoughtful.
I even get sweet cards to go with them.
Memorial Day...
This is a day to remember those who keep freedom alive...
AND...
Those who have passed on..
the sacrifices they made so we could have the fine things in life.
The gospel...
Our rights to worship as we please.
Also those whose lives were to short.
This year has been especially hard...
Don't know why...
BUT...
I miss my kids.
Joie is growing and becoming a beautiful young woman.
She had a vocal recital.
Mary sent us a video of her...

Steve Natalie Claire and Cash came out for the day.
Big Girl...
Party time again.
When ever we get together you can always count of good food and good times.
Chris and Ben's family came as well.
Looks like they are hording the desert...
Not really but they did have their share...
Stan's Niece
Miranda graduated...
Her mom, Stan's sister, Jeanne Marie passed away while we were on our mission...
Miranda's graduation announcement shows she is a strong young woman.
Our grandson, Beth and Trevor's boy graduated as well...
Braden's next step is a mission.
When I was called to be the Gospel Doctrine teacher...
Team teach with Janis Warr...
I was petrified.
I actually got sick.
It has been a challenge.
It has caused me to grow...
And learn to study.
I came to love this position.
BUT..
Today the bishop called us into his office.
He wants us to be the Nursery leaders!
This was our job many years ago.
For three years.
We loved it and and hated to leave it.
Now he is releasing Stan from his SS job teaching the high school kids.
And me from Gospel Doctrine.
Now I am feeling remorse.
I don't really want to give that up.
BUT...
We have always done what the Lord needs us to do...
And...
We do it willingly and with all our hearts.
My challenge will be to keep up with the study habits I have learned.
I love the gospel and I love learning.
Elder
Bruce R. McConkie:
“Those destined to inherit the terrestrial kingdom
are:
(1) those who died ‘without law’—those heathen and pagan people who do not
hear the gospel in this life, and who would not accept it with all their hearts
should they hear it;
(2) those who hear and reject the gospel in this life and
then accept it in the spirit world
(3) those ‘who are honorable men of the
earth, who [are] blinded by the craftiness of men’;
and
(4) those who are lukewarm members of the true church and who
have testimonies, ( and recommend holders)but who are not true and faithful in all things”
(A New Witness for the Articles of Faith [1985], 146).
