"Let us relish life as we live it, and find joy in the journey". Pres Monson

Preparation day was the day I spend with the sisters...
BUT...
They had so much on their plate...
Elder Campbell and I took them to Chili's to dinner.
Sisters Campbell Miller and McClain and Elder Campbell

Hair cut time...
Elder Adriano left got his ears lowered Monday afternoon
Elder Cooper cuts his own hair...
 Their phone died...
They used ours because we have our personal phone.
THEN...
their phone resurrected itself...
Hope it is good to go.

We have been with people who are so committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ...
Who love the Lord with all their hearts and are willing to sacrifice for His sake.
And
With those who are leaving the church and do not want to be contacted again...
I can't imagine the pain our Heavenly Father feels as these people set aside the most important covenants they made at baptism.
I know it breaks our hearts.
At church there was a sister who would not open her door for anyone.
We 'happened' to find her out walking her dog.
She eventually felt our spirit of love and started visiting.
She said she might come on Christmas day.
But she showed up there today...
There were so many miracles with that one decision she will be back.
The Lord is in control.
One of the perks of finding the lost sheep is we see some amazing things...
This place had a lot of moving thing...
and Christmas music playing.

These little guys are motion sensitive...
they did quite the jig.

These roads are the result of a companion who thinks he can find a place by the little dots on the map.
Those little dots always prove to be wrong.
The dots were put on the map and labeled by the missionaries.
They were to help us know and find the less active...
And
those they don't know anything about.

 We did find the man...

Friday night was Deland 1 Christmas dinner
They had a display of nativities...

There were four tables of nativities...
Fun ones beautiful ones and very unique ones...

These guys are trying to bring life back into this ward...
 Elder Harrington and Willey...

This sweet sister is a rolling advertizement

We went over to Rusoe's Sunday evening...
Brother Rusoe made a Christmas Village, miniature.
They had a open house with a lot of people and surgery foods.
BUT
It was nice to be able to get to know our new Bishopric personally.

It was especially fun for the children.

Our tree this year...

My sweet babysister sent me a package for my birthday...
Among all the fun stuff there was this little tiny nativity....
All is calm...
Being a missionary at Christmas time is a wonderful experience.

I know 50 degrees is not cold to most of you....
 but brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The sun sets on a wonderful week.

May you love and serve God.
May you love your fellowmen
May you have peace within your hearts
and
contentment within your souls...
Pres Monson
